Strawberry Preserves
These strawberry preserves are an all natural way to enjoy some delicious strawberries. Use them for pastries, dips, fillings, and more. These preservatives come together in only a few minutes and even fewer ingredients. What’s there not to love.

Strawberry Preserves
Ingredients
- 1 lb strawberries tops cut
- zest of 1/2 lemon
- juice of one lemon
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tsbp cornstarch slurry
- 1 tsp salt
Instructions
- Cut the tops off of 1lb of strawberries and add them to a medium sized saucepan.
- Turn heat on medium low and add in sugar, lemon zest, and lemon juice.
- Once sugar melts, begin to mash strawberries softly and allow to cook down until you have a jam like texture.
- Add in cornstarch slurry and cut the heat. Stir until thickened and allow to cool.
- Store in an airtight container for 4-6 weeks, refrigerated.
