Smothered Green Beans: Stove Top or Pressure Cooker?
Cooking smothered green beans on the stove allows for a more traditional approach, where you can sauté onions and garlic first to build flavor, then simmer the beans with the smoked turkey and seasonings. This method gives you more control over the cooking process, allowing you to adjust flavors as you go. It also creates a wonderful aroma that fills the kitchen, making it feel extra cozy.
On the other hand, using a pressure cooker speeds things up significantly. In just a fraction of the time, you can achieve tender green beans infused with the smoky goodness of the turkey. The pressure cooker traps steam, helping the flavors meld beautifully, resulting in a rich and satisfying dish. However, you might miss out on some of the layered flavors that develop from slow cooking on the stove. Ultimately, both methods yield delicious results, so it often comes down to your time constraints and cooking preferences!
