Greek Yogurt Bagel

A Greek yogurt bagel is a unique twist on the classic bagel, where Greek yogurt is incorporated into the dough to give it a soft, chewy texture and a subtle tanginess. The yogurt adds a bit of extra moisture to the bagel, making it denser but still tender. The dough is mixed with self-rising flour, Greek yogurt, and salt to balance the tartness of the yogurt. Once baked, the bagel has a slightly crisp exterior with a warm, pillow-like interior.
You could eat it just like a regular bagel—slathered with cream cheese, butter, or your favorite spread—but the Greek yogurt element makes it a bit more tangy and satisfying. Some variations might even be topped with seeds like sesame or everything seasoning, adding extra flavor and texture. If you like this recipe, try my Dinner Rolls recipe next!
