Crème` Brulé French Toast

  • Large Bowl
  • Non Stick Pan
  • Spatula
  • Whisk

  • 1 loaf Vanilla Brioche Bread sliced into 1 1/2 inch pieces
  • 2 tbsp Unsalted butter


  • 2 Eggs
  • 3 tbsp Half and half
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp Ground cinnamon


  • 1 cup Confectioners sugar
  • 5 tbsp Heavy cream


  • 3 tbsp Sugar


  • Whisk together eggs, half and half, vanilla extract, and cinnamon
  • Heat 1 tbsp butter in pan over medium-high heat.
  • Coat both sides of bread in batter and transfer them to the pan, careful not to overcrowd the pan.
  • Once you have a golden brown crust on one side of the bread, flip it over to achieve the same on the remaining sides. Do this until all sides have developed a golden brown outer part.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together confectioners sugar along with heavy cream. Add more as needed. Whisk until smooth and lump free.
  • Drizzle icing on top of French toast, coat with sugar, and apply the torch to the sugar until burnt. Similar to the top of a crème brulé.
