Chopped Cheese Wontons
Equipment
- 1 Deep fryer
- 1 Skillet
Ingredients
- 3 qts Vegetable oil for frying
- 1 lb ground beef 80/20
- 1/2 lb American cheese
- 1/2 yellow onion finely diced
- 1 package wonton wrappers
- 1 package Sazon
- 2 tsbp Adobo
- 1 tbsp black pepper
Truffle Mayo-chup
- 1 cup Mayo
- 1/2 cup Ketchup
- 1 tsp truffle salt
- 1 tsp truffle oil
Instructions
- To a skillet on medium-high heat, add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain meat and return to skillet.
- Add onions, garlic, cook until translucent. Add in your seasonings and cheese. Mix until cheese is melted. Remove from heat.
- One by one, wet the edges of the wonton wrapper with water
- Scoop about 2 tbsp. of filling onto the wonton wrapper and pinch all of the edges upward and together to form a wonton
- To a deep fryer set at 355 degrees, add in wontons, but don't overcrowd the pot. Fry for 1.5 minute or until golden brown. Remove and set on a rack to drain.
Truffle Mayo-chup
- To a bowl, add mayo, ketchup, truffle salt, truffle oil, and black pepper. Mix well to combine. Serve alongside wontons
