Chopped Cheese Wontons
Crispy wontons filled with the classic New York chopped cheese filling

- 3 qts Vegetable oil for frying
- 1 lb ground beef 80/20
- 1/2 lb American cheese
- 1/2 yellow onion finely diced
- 1 package wonton wrappers
- 1 package Sazon
- 2 tsbp Adobo
- 1 tbsp black pepper
Truffle Mayo-chup
- 1 cup Mayo
- 1/2 cup Ketchup
- 1 tsp truffle salt
- 1 tsp truffle oil
To a skillet on medium-high heat, add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain meat and return to skillet.
Add onions, garlic, cook until translucent. Add in your seasonings and cheese. Mix until cheese is melted. Remove from heat.
One by one, wet the edges of the wonton wrapper with water
Scoop about 2 tbsp. of filling onto the wonton wrapper and pinch all of the edges upward and together to form a wonton
To a deep fryer set at 355 degrees, add in wontons, but don't overcrowd the pot. Fry for 1.5 minute or until golden brown. Remove and set on a rack to drain.
Truffle Mayo-chup
To a bowl, add mayo, ketchup, truffle salt, truffle oil, and black pepper. Mix well to combine. Serve alongside wontons
