How to Make Chicken and Broccoli (Single Serve)

  • Prep the ingredients:
    • 2 chicken thighs (about 6 oz), cut into strips
    • 1 cup broccoli florets
    • 1–2 cloves garlic
  • Cook the chicken:
    • Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a skillet over medium heat
    • Add chicken pieces, season with All Purpose Seasoning, white pepper, and sesame oil
    • Sauté for 5–7 minutes, until browned and cooked through. Set aside
  • Steam or sauté the broccoli:
    • Add broccoli to a pan with 2–3 tablespoons of water, cover, and steam for 3–4 minutes
  • Add sauce
    • Pour in sauce along with minced garlic cloves and thicken with a cornstarch slurry.
    • Add chicken and broccoli to the sauce.
  • Serve:
    • Plate as-is, or serve over rice, quinoa, or noodles for a more filling meal

Ingredients
  

  • 2 boneless chicken thighs cut into strips
  • 1 cup broccoli
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tbsp Pretty Girls Eat Too all purpose seasoning
  • 1 tsp white pepper
  • 1 tsp sesame oil

Sauce

  • 2 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • ½ tsp Maggi
  • 1 tbsp rice wine vinegar
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp water

Instructions
 

  • To a bowl, season chicken with All Purpose Seasoning, white pepper, and sesame oil. Combine and set aside.
  • To a wok or skillet on medium high heat, add in 1 tbsp of oil and sear chicke on both sides until cooked through. Remove once cooked.
  • To a separate pot, steam broccoli for 3-4 minutes or until vibrant green. Remove from pot and set aside.
  • To a separate bowl, combine soy sauce, hoisin, maggi, chicken broth, and rice wine vinegar.
  • Add sauce to wok or skillet and bring to a boil. Add in minced garlic.
  • Thicken sauce with cornstarch slurry and simmer for 2 more minutes.
  • Add in cooked chicken and broccoli to sauce and combine well.
  • Serve with white rice, or starch of your choice.
