Orange Pepper Lamb Chop Recipe + Video
You may have had lemon pepper, maybe even lime pepper, but orange pepper lamb chops are my absolute favorite in regards to citrus x pepper. The tang from the orang helps balance out the bite from the pepper and of course with some garlic in the mix, you cant go wrong with this orange pepper lamb chop recipe.
Orange Pepper Lamb Chops
Equipment
- 1 Cast Iron Skillet
- 1 Microplane
- 1 Citrus Juicer
Ingredients
- 1 rack of lamb, or 8 lamb chops trimmed and cut
- 3 tbsp olive oil divided
- zest and juice of one orange
- 2 garlic cloves sliced
- 1 handful parsley chopped
- 4 tbsp unstalted butter
- 3 tbsp all purpose seasoning
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Season lamb chops with all purpose seasoning and 1 tbsp oil, set aside.
- In a cast iron skillet on medium heat, drizzle 2 tbsp of oil and arrange lamb chops in skillet, careful not to over crowd the pan. Sear for 2 minutes on each side for medium doneness. Remove lamb chops and set aside.
- In the same skillet on medium-low heat add in butter. Once melted, toast garlic for 10 seconds before adding in orange juice. Once reduced by a third, add in parsley, orange zest, salt, and pepper.
- Pour sauce over lamb chops and serve immediately
