What Is Orzo?

Orzo is a small, rice-shaped pasta that hails from Italy, often mistaken for a grain because of its size and appearance. Made from semolina flour, orzo cooks quickly and has a tender, slightly chewy texture that makes it incredibly versatile. It’s commonly used in soups, salads, and creamy one-pan dishes, absorbing flavors beautifully while adding a hearty element to any meal. Whether served hot or cold, orzo is a staple that brings both comfort and convenience to the table.
