Mongolian Beef Noodles

  • 1 Stock pot
  • 1 Skillet


  • 1 Package Chow Mein noodle
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 onion thinly sliced
  • 3 scallion thinly sliced
  • 4 garlic cloves minced
  • 3 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce

Seasoning Mix

  • 1 tbsp Chinese five spice
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • chili oil to taste


  • In a stock pot of boiling salted water, cook chow mien according to package
  • In a skillet on medium-high heat, cook ground beef thoroughly. Add in yellow onion, half of the green onion, and seasoning mix. Once sugar is dissolved, add in soy and oyster sauce. Mix well
  • Transfer noodles from pot to skillet and turn off heat
  • Add chili oil if using and top with sesame seeds and remaining green onion
