Shrimp and Broccoli
This Chinese takeaway inspired shrimp and broccoli dish is amazing for a weeknight dinner. If you’re looking to cut back on carbs, you can omit the rice. Just a few ingredients and less than 30 minutes and you have a flavorful dish.
Shrimp and Broccoli
Ingredients
- 2 lbs colossal shrimp tail off
- 1 head broccoli
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 3 tbsp oyster sauce
- ½ tbsp white pepper
- 1 tbsp all purpose seasoning
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 3 garlic cloves minced`
Instructions
- To a bowl with your cleaned shrimp, season with all purpose seasoning. Set aside.
- To a small bowl, add in soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, white pepper, sesame oil and garlic and whisk until combined. Set aside.
- To a wok or skillet on medium high heat, add in 1 tbsp. of oil and broccoli. Sauté until broccoli begins to turn vibrant. Add in 1 tbsp. of water to aid with cooking the broccoli through. Cook for 1 minute more.
- Add in shrimp and sauce. Stir until sauce coats shrimp. Allow to cook for 5 minutes until the sauce reduces and shrimp is no longer opaque. Remove from heat and serve immediately.
