Greek Turkey Meatballs

Greek turkey meatballs are made with lean ground turkey, seasoned with garlic, oregano, dill, and feta for a fresh, savory flavor. They’re tender, juicy, and often paired with a tangy tzatziki sauce for an extra burst of flavor.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground turkey meat 87% lean
  • 1 1/2 tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp coriander
  • juice and zest of one lemon
  • ½ tbsp ground thyme
  • 3 tbsp parsley minced
  • 3 tbsp cilantro minced
  • 2 tbsp mint
  • ¼ red onion grated
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tbsp dried oregano
  • 1 egg beaten
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs

Instructions
 

  • To a bowl, combine all of the ingredients. Mix well, but do not overmix, that will cause the texture to become dense.
  • Put a small amount of oil in your hands and begin rolling meat into golf ball sized meatballs.
  • To a skillet on medium- high heat, add in 3 tbsp. of oil, and 1 tbsp. of butter. Add in meatballs and brown on each side. This should take 5 minutes total.
  • Add to a non-stick baking sheet and bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and serve with tzatziki, orzo, pita, or salad !
