Bourbon Chicken

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb boneless chicken thighs diced
  • ½ tbsp five spice seasoning
  • ½ tbsp all purpose seasoning
  • ½ tbsp smoked paprika
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 2 green onion sprigs sliced
  • 3 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 3 tbsp dark brown sugar
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp red pepper flakes
  • sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions
 

  • To a bowl, season chicken with five spice, all purpose seasoning, and smoked paprika. Combine so all chicken is evenly coated in seasoning. Set aside.
  • To a separate bowl, combine garlic, sesame oil, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, and red pepper flakes, Whisk to combine.
  • To a skillet on medium-high heat, add in grapeseed oil and sear chicken until golden brown on each side. Remove from pan and lower heat to medium.
  • Add sauce to skillet and allow to reduce by half. Stirring occasionally. This should take about 2 minutes.
  • Add chicken back to skillet and stir to coat chicken in sauce. Cook for 2 more minutes, adding in green onions. Remove from heat and top with sesame seeds before serving.
